I love mackerel

Many Swedes love fish. Also I and my wife.

Sweden is a peninsula with a very long coastline with sea both in the west, south and east. To the west it borders the salty North Sea and in the south and east the more brackish Baltic Sea.

Sweden is called "the land of thousand lakes". Fish are caught in many of these lakes.

Popular marine fish are cod, herring, mackerel and plaice.

Pike, perch and other fish are caught in the lakes.

On the square in my town are great cars that sell fish.
Yesterday I bought two nice mackerels that my wife and I would like for lunch.

First I cleared the two fishes.

I breaded them in breadcrumbs and flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Then I fried them in a skillet.

The fish was served with boiled potatoes, lightly steamed spinach, tomato and cucumber.
A wonderful and easy to prepare lunch course.
